Already Gone

Ok, I know it's been a while since I've written or posted anything on here. I was inspired by a good friend to get back on and start writing about music. Yesterday the new Bayside album artwork and track listing were released, along with a song on their upcoming Feb. 22 2011 release named Killing Time. Already Gone is the first track released, and they are set to release another track on iTunes entitled: Sick, Sick, Sick on November 11th. Already Gone is the first track to kick off the upcoming album. The song starts off with a catchy guitar riff then Anthony bursts into song with "You, you never call..." his voice is full of emotion and power like in previous albums. This song sounds a lot like Tortures of the Damned mixed with the punk sound found in Shudder. The familiar lead guitar parts that give the band their sound are ever so present. The lyrics are completely Bayside through and through. I'm excited to hear more, and I can't wait! For any long time fan of the band, or even the newer fans, I'm sure this album will satisfy all of your listening pleasures as Already Gone has satisfied mine. the bluebird (by Charles Bukowski)

there’s a bluebird in my heart that wants to get out but I’m too tough for him. I say “stay in there. I’m not going to let anybody see you”

there’s a bluebird in my heart that wants to get out but I poor whiskey on him and inhale cigarette smoke and the whores and the bartenders and the grocery clerks never know that he’s in there

there’s a bluebird in my heart that wants to get out but I’m too tough for him. I say “stay down, do you want to mess me up? do you want to screw up my works? you want to blow my book sales in Europe?”

there’s a bluebird in my heart that wants to get out but I’m too clever. I only let him out at night sometimes when everybody’s asleep. I say “I know that you’re there so don’t be sad”. Then I put him back but he’s singing a little in there. I haven’t quite let him die. And we sleep together like that, with our secret pact ,and it’s nice enough to make a man weep…but I don’t weep. Do you?
